WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS eager to join our team and spend a few hours each week helping others. D.I.A.L Lowestoft & Waveney is a charity in the Lowestoft & Waveney area and we help disabled people, their carers, families and professionals with links to disabled people. D.I.A.L keep a Helpline running five days a week for 5 hours each day, on which we answer queries and give advice to people with all types of disability and long-term illness, whether it be physical problems, mental health or learning difficulties. Much of this advice is regarding finances and benefits, and with the current welfare reforms the calls are increasing by the day. We also answer questions about equipment, housing, holidays, support groups etc. Our advisors book appointments to help people at the office in Lowestoft, but we also do Home Visits in all areas to clients unable to get to our office.
